“Apocalypse Now”

These images are scans of prints, the original black and white negatives were given to United Artists - few of them were ever printed for in-theater display. To my knowledge all the black & white negatives have been lost.
As a freelance photojournalist I learned two things, always cover a good scene with two types of film: black and white and color positive (slide film). The reason? A color image pays more than a black and white and you can always make a b&w print from a color positive. I did the same on Apocalypse Now.
